I have read that, at least in older versions of iTunes, there was a CD Info database file that iTunes created on the PC to hold CD information that had been downloaded and potentially modified. However, when I use iTunes on the new PC to view/play a CD that I had previously viewed/played on the old PC, any modifications that I had made to the CD Information on the old PC appear to be missing and iTunes makes a fresh download of the information from the internet.
